What Is Block Therapy?
Block therapy is an innovative body practice designed to release these restrictions in the body’s fascia . This undoing of the negative cycle of compression will reestablish balance and harmony in your body. The student lies over a the therapeutic wooden tool, called the block buddy on a specific spot and position on the body. The combination of body weight, gravity, diaphragmatic breathing and time creates a heating effect that melts through adhesions improving blood, and oxygen flow to the tissues.
What is Fascia?
Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds all of the cells of our body – an interactive web of communication that speaks and responds to all actions of the body. If the system is open and flowing, all cells are healthy and nourished, however we give the fascia too much to do and to correct Through our unconscious posture, chronic habitual movements, incorrect breathing, and even just through gravity itself we collapse forward. The fascia responds to this trauma by trying to correct our alignment and bring us back into balance with 2000 pound per square inch pressure. These adhesions are meant to create stability. It is a protective and intelligent mechanism. However, this causes compression and restriction of the tissues resulting in PAIN. These restrictions decrease the flow of blood and oxygen to the cells which can develop over time into disease, unhealthy size, and shape, sleep issues and even affect our mental health.

Three Components of Block Therapy

Create Space
Creating space in the body and melting through restrictions in the tissue is important for correcting posture and improving blood and oxygen flow to the cells, keeping them fed and clean.

Inflate Space
Instruction of proper diaphragmatic breathing turns on the internal furnace optimizing the melting of adhesions in the tissue. In fact, diaphragmatic breathing increases oxygenation in tissue up to 6x.

I’m the Proof It Works
I found Block Therapy during my quest to find relief from the debilitating pain of plantar fasciitis and bone spurs. I had given up on mainstream healthcare, having tried Physio, Cortizone injections, and even chiropractic care with no relief. I knew I had to find an answer and couldn’t suffer in pain without a solution. I was on my feet all day at my job. I was irritable, not very pleasant to be around and exhausted by the end of the day.
I started doing Block Therapy on my feet and calves just using a rolled up towel. Within 10
days I was pain-free!! I was shocked and amazed that I had gone through my whole busy day without even thinking about my feet or the pain they used to cause.
I was hooked.
I ordered my Block Buddy and continued to explore the positions and kept realizing more and more benefits.
I decided that if I could see such positive results, I should share this system with others so I proceeded to train with the Block Therapy team and achieved my certification so that now I can lead my own classes and teach you how to achieve a greater natural balance and wellness
